The Taibao Yizhan (Taiwan compatriots' station) in Xiamen's Siming district, Fujian province, recently celebrated its 4th anniversary with a series of activities.

Siming Taibao Yizhan, established on May 25, 2015, is an O2O (online-to-offline) platform for Taiwan compatriots to study, work, create start-ups and live in the district.

Siming Taibao Yizhan has set up seven fellowship sites around Siming district providing Taiwan people with extensive services such as legal mediation, cross-Straits clan exchanges, and entrepreneurship and employment counseling.

More than 300 young people from both sides of the Taiwan Straits participated in the activities. They teamed up to accomplish challenges set at the seven sites.

The challenges were based on the function of each site, according to the organizer. At Zencuoan site, for example, a challenge about Taiwan-related legal mediation was organized.

"Many young people from Taiwan are new to Xiamen. Such activities allowed them to get familiar with Xiamen's preferential measures for Taiwan people and also to get in touch with more local youth," said a participant from Taiwan.

Last year, Siming district also cooperated with the China Strait Talent Market, and built a service center in the district which provides an efficient network platform for employers and Taiwan talents.

At present, there are a total of 1,800 jobs being offered by 500 enterprises in Xiamen for Taiwan talents on the platform.
