In recent years, Fujian has been attaching great importance to the development of its cultural industry and providing strong support for its film industry. In 2018, Fujian's box office revenue exceeded two billion yuan ($284.47 million) for the first time, ranking 10th among Chinese provinces, and its film industry has become a new source of growth for the province.
