A bulk freighter carrying 4,757 tons of goods left Haicang port in Xiamen in East China's Fujian province en route for Izmit in Turkey recently -- marking the launch of an international bulk cargo transit business in Haicang.

The new business will increase the capacity of Haicang to handle international container transits, improve the port's competitiveness in international transit operations and boost the throughput growth of the port.
