Twin giant pandas – "Sinian" and "Siyunyun" -- at Xiamen Ling Ling International Circus City in Xiamen's Jimei district, Fujian province, celebrated their 4th birthday on Aug 2.

Although the twin brothers have only lived in the zoo for a year, the celebration drew large crowds, many of whom were foreign visitors.

The zoo's six interns from Taiwan as well as animal nurses made a "dragon boat cake" weighing more than 200 kilograms for the giant pandas.

"This is my second time studying at Ling Ling International Circus City as an intern, and I am honored to have the opportunity to attend the birthday party of the giant pandas," said an intern from Fooyin University in Taiwan.

The arrival of the giant pandas has provided a great topic for the study trip in Jimei district. The zoo also designed a series of courses for Jimei study trips, such as a so-called "Panda Class".
