The North Asia final of the 2019 Global Business Challenge (GBC) took place in Xiamen University, Fujian province on May 30 and 31.

This year, 10 teams from North Asian universities, including Jinan University, Sichuan International Studies University, Xiamen University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Taiwan Chengchi University, Macau University of Science and Technology, and Kyoto University of Japan, advanced to the final.

The final teams were asked to conduct a case analysis and report on the enterprise operations of a specific enterprise within the stipulated time. Contestants needed to provide quantitative analysis, quality control, marketing, personnel allocation, and other information, all in English, to the judges.

The team from Hong Kong Polytechnic University took the first place.

"The GBC challenge has been running for more than a decade and has attracted many outstanding university students. We hope to cultivate more management accounting talents that can meet future demand," said Li Ying, regional director of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA) North Asia region.

Xiamen University looks forward to further cooperating with AICPA to enhance exchanges among the top accounting universities in North Asia.
