CIFIT organizers pay official visits to foreign institutions in Shanghai

A four-member working group was recently sent by the organizing committee of the China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) to pay official visits to foreign consulates general and other foreign institutions in Shanghai.
Over the past several months following the 20th CIFIT, the organizing committee has been preparing for the 21st CIFIT and promoting the fair to the world.
The working group visited the consulates general of Bulgaria, Columbia, Kazakhstan, Peru, Slovakia, Belarus and other countries, and met with representatives of the commercial chambers of Brazil, Switzerland and the European Union, as well as other foreign institutions.
As next year will be the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Columbia, the group suggested that the Consulate General of Columbia in Shanghai hold a series of special activities during the 21st CIFIT in celebration of the occasion.
The consul general of Peru in Shanghai said that enterprises in Peru have been looking for investment opportunities in the Chinese market and the Peruvian consulate general will organize for a group of enterprises to attend the 21st CIFIT.
The commercial consul at the Consulate of Kazakhstan said that Kazakhstan hopes to promote agricultural products and attract investment at the 21st CIFIT.
The group also attended a reception dinner held by the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Shanghai, where they promoted CIFIT to consuls general of Finland, New Zealand, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and other countries.
The consul general of the UAE in Shanghai said that the UAE has been working closely with CIFIT in recent years and will do what it can to help enterprises and associations participate in the 21st CIFIT.
