Students and teachers from two sister schools in Xiamen and Taiwan enjoyed a mainland-style class on traditional Chinese culture in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province on Dec 9.

They exchanged gifts, shared ideas, painted stamps of historical events, and made their own paper-cuts.

"I really enjoyed the class, it was a lot of fun," said Wei Hao, a student from Taiwan.

Taipei Municipal Dunhua Elementary School in Taiwan and Jinshang Primary School in Xiamen have been sister cities since 2011. This year, students from the Taiwan school visited the Xiamen school to witness the great changes that have taken place in the city over the 70 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China.
