The three-day 2019 China (Xiamen) International Grain, Oils, Food and Equipment Technology Expo ended on Dec 8 in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province. The event brought in a large amount of investment from several nationally renowned enterprises, including China National Cereals, Oils and Foodstuffs Corporation (COFCO).

More than 100 of the exhibitors are industry leaders with planned exhibition areas of more than 10,000 square meters, according to the official.

COFCO Group, the country's largest supplier of agricultural products in terms of revenue, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Xiamen to continue increasing economic cooperation.

"Xiamen is an important part of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and serves as a material transfer station for Fujian," said Chen Gang, a leader at COFCO. He added that COFCO will continue promoting cooperation between countries and regions involved in the BRI and take steps to ensure food safety and improve people's living standards.
