Working group of CIFIT visits foreign embassies

The organizing committee of the China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) sent a working group to visit a number of foreign embassies in Beijing from Nov 27 to 29.
After this year's CIFIT came to a close, the organizing committee began preparations for next year’s fair and doubled down efforts to promote the fair to the world.
Martin Chedond, ambassador at the Embassy of Zimbabwe in Beijing, said that next year will be the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Zimbabwe. The working group suggested that the two countries jointly hold a special activity during next year's CIFIT to celebrate the anniversary.
Mohammed Alotaishd, commercial counselor at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Beijing, said his country values the opportunities brought by CIFIT and hopes to become the guest country of honor in the future and deepen its commercial cooperation with China.
Hussam Al Husseini, ambassador at the Embassy of Jordan in Beijing, extended his warm welcome and gratitude to the working group. He enquired about next year's CIFIT and stressed the importance of the Chinese market to Jordan as well as CIFIT's importance in promoting Jordan to the world.
The working group also visited the embassies of Mozambique, Brunei, Latvia, Qatar, and several other foreign institutions in Beijing. The Qatari ambassador in Beijing expressed his hope of serving as the CIFIT guest country of honor in 2021.
