Thai consulate general in Xiamen celebrates its National Day

The vice-mayor of Xiamen in East China's Fujian province was invited to attend the National Day reception held by the Consulate General of Thailand in Xiamen on Dec 4, one day ahead of the big day.
Karntimon Ruksakiati, consul general of Thailand in Xiamen, reviewed her work in the city and thanked the Xiamen government and the city's Foreign Affairs Office for their support.
Ruksakiati said that 2020 marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand, and said she hoped that the two countries will continue to maintain friendly relations.
Li Yuehui, vice-mayor of Xiamen, extended National Day greetings to the Thai consulate general and Thai people in Xiamen, and expressed gratitute to the consulate general for its contributions to the friendly exchanges between Xiamen and Thailand.
He said that Xiamen has always valued its relations with Thailand and both sides have yielded fruitful results in economic, cultural, tourism and educational cooperation.
In recent years, Xiamen has maintained sound cooperation with Thailand and seen closer ties in trade, tourism, culture, education and sister cities. Phuket province in Thailand twinned with Xiamen on May 11, 2017, making it Xiamen's 19th sister city and the first from Thailand.
