China, Russia explore aerospace cooperation in Xiamen

The sixth China-Russia Engineering Technology Forum was held in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province on Nov 26, according to local media reports.
The forum, organized by the China Association for Science and Technology and Federation of Russian Scientific and Engineering Associations, attracted more than 400 participants from institutes, universities and companies in both countries.
A total of 14 aerospace experts from China and Russia were invited to share their insights into airship transportation systems, moon exploration, commercial spaceflight, and drone technology application and explore cooperation between the two countries in these fields.
Wu Jinfeng, an employee at China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, described China and Russia's long history of aerospace cooperation and expressed hope that the two sides can conduct long-term cooperation in manned space flight and moon exploration.
A member of the Federation of Russian Scientific and Engineering Associations noted that China and Russia have cooperated in numerous fields and expressed hoped that the two sides will increase exchange in education, technology and industry.
The forum also witnessed the signing of 15 projects worth roughly 8 billion yuan ($1.14 billion). Moreover, eight academician workstations in Xiamen signed cooperation agreements with the Federation of Russian Scientific and Engineering Associations during the forum.
