Transfong Ventures Scientific Park was put into operation in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province on Nov 23, according to local media reports.

The park was established by Transfong Ventures, a Singapore-based investment institution which has established transnational science and technology innovation platforms in both China and Singapore, with the support of the consulate general of Singapore in Xiamen and the International Enterprise Singapore.

Local officials said at the opening ceremony that the park will play an important role in helping Singaporean companies enter China and Chinese companies expand overseas.

Biocair, a world-leader in non-toxic sterile techniques from Singapore and one of the founders of Transfong Ventures, was the first to settle down in the park. The company plans to dispatch its technical personnel from Singapore to establish an R&D base in the park.

In collaboration with government departments, institutes and investment institutions, Transfong Ventures is also expected to launch t-CAMP, an international scientific innovation training and exchange program, next year in Xiamen.

The week-long program will offer simulated business situations, a series of training sessions, and several field trips to help Chinese entrepreneurs learn about the scientific innovation industries in Singapore and lay a solid foundation for their future overseas expansion.

The park is situated in Torch Huizhi Space, a key part of Xiamen Torch Development Zone for High Technology Industries, and is the space's first project.

Covering an area of 79,000 square meters, Huizhi is aimed at growing into an artificial intelligent industry park with its focus on big data, image recognition, voice recognition, and robots.
