A logistics company based in Fuzhou, southeast China's Fujian province, handled 300,000 parcels bound for Taiwan after the "Double 11" shopping festival, compared with 50,000 in the same period last year.
The parcels, mainly shoe cabinets, wardrobes and clothes, were stored at a 7,000-square-metre warehouse, where 180 workers received, sorted and shelved packages.
Ma Xiaoguang, a spokesman for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, said the fast-growing e-commerce market in the Chinese Mainland provides not only convenient services to residents in Taiwan, but also creates significant business opportunities for enterprises in the region.
