A reception in celebration of the 28th China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival was held in Xiamen, Fujian province on Nov 21. A number of filmmakers from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, as well as some international guests, were in attendance.

Xiamen, which has been dubbed a "natural studio", boasts pristine landscapes, a rich culture, and a long history. The city has been represented in many famous film and television works, including Crazy Racer and Hello Mr. Billionaire, and more than 100 films and TV shows are shot here every year.

The national film festival represents the beginning of a new era for Xiamen's film industry. The city will implement a number of policies to accelerate the development of the film and TV industry and build Xiamen into one of China's leading cities for film and television.
