'The Whistleblower' to hit the big screen in December

The Whistleblower, an action, suspense, and crime movie starring renowned actress Tang Wei and actor Lei Jiayin, premiered at the ongoing 28th China Golden Rooster & Hundred Flowers Film Festival in Xiamen, Fujian province on Nov 20.
The movie is to hit big screens across the Chinese mainland on Dec 6.
Following a fatal air accident that caused the death of his business competitor, Ma Ke (Lei Jiayin), a Chinese expatriate working for a mining company in Australia, discovers that the new technology developed by the company may be a health risk that can threaten the lives of millions of people. The sudden appearance of a mysterious woman Zhou Wen (Tang Wei) also leads him to investigate a web of conspiracies, with the truth behind the lies gradually surfacing.
The 28th China Golden Rooster & Hundred Flowers Film Festival is taking place in Xiamen from Nov 19 to 23.
