A cooperation framework agreement involving production centers for Kunpeng products, which are processors for general purpose computing, was inked between Xiamen in East China's Fujian province and Shenzhen's Digital China Group on Nov 18.
Digital China Group, an important strategic partner of Huawei, has carried out a range of cooperative projects with the company involving cloud computing and other cutting-edge technologies and core businesses.
The framework agreement is expected to create a broader space for cooperation between Xiamen and Digital China Group, while also promoting Xiamen's digital transformation.
Guo Wei, chief executive of Digital China Group, said that Xiamen boasts a sound investment climate and solid industrial foundation, and that the group will take full advantage of its strengths to work toward mutually beneficial results.
The group will provide support for the construction of the Kunpeng Supercomputer Center, as well as for high-performance computing, store services, and big data platform services. This will give local governments end-to-end computing abilities in an effort to promote the city's big data industry.
