Multiple signing ceremonies involving high-end medical equipment, food, and agricultural products, were held by Xiamen exhibition group during the ongoing China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai on Nov 6.
Xiamen ITG Holding Group, a large state-owned enterprise, signed cooperation deals with four transnational enterprises, namely global mining giant Rio Tinto Group from Australia, global endoscope leader Pentax from Japan, Bunge Limited from the Netherlands, and South Korea's food and logistics conglomerate CJ Group. The projects in the contract mainly involved bulk trade, agricultural products, and healthcare. Many more project deals have been signed at this year's CIIE than at last year's event, and the projects have been more diverse as well.
Xiamen C&D Group also reached cooperation agreements with six transnational enterprises. According to a representative from the company, the CIIE has allowed the group to explore business opportunities with renowned foreign enterprises and deepen cooperation with its existing partners.
Thermo Fisher Scientific, a US science service company, established a partnership with Xiamen C&D Group in 2008 to establish cooperation in pharmacy, biotechnology, life sciences, medical treatment, and health.
Tony Acciarito, President of Thermo Fisher Scientific China, has high expectations for cooperation with C&D Group. He said that the China market is one of the company's most important markets, and this year's CIIE has provided more opportunities for Thermo Fisher to explore innovation and localization.
