A film exhibition with the tagline "Chinese Shadow: Images of the Chinese in Hollywood Cinema" will be held in Xiamen, a coastal city in East China's Fujian province, starting on Nov 18, according to a news conference hosted by the Chinese American Museum on Nov 4.
The exhibition, held alongside the 28th China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival, is expected to pay tribute to Chinese filmmakers in Hollywood by showcasing Chinese Hollywood films throughout history. A golden Oscar statuette will also be shown at the exhibition.
Michael Berry, a professor of contemporary Chinese cultural studies at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), addressed the conference and gave a brief introduction to the history of Chinese Hollywood films. He spoke highly of the contributions Chinese film workers had made in Hollywood films.
