The float will be displayed permanently in the district, according to Ma Xiaoguang, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, in a statement during the display's launch ceremony. Ma said that the Taiwan float will become a new tourism hot spot in Xiamen.

The float, featuring the tagline "Both sides of the Taiwan Straits are one family, and we will jointly fulfill the Chinese Dream", depicts Ali Mountain, a field of butterfly orchids, Taiwan youth dressed in traditional costumes, and an embossment of several significant historical events, including Zheng Chenggong (1624-1662) driving out Dutch invaders and recovering Taiwan in 1661. It showcases Taiwan's beautiful landscapes and recent cultural and economic development.
