The 2019 Xiamen Culture and Tourism Promotion Season, which runs from October to December this year, kicked off in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province, on Oct 15.

This year's event, revolving around the integration of culture and tourism, consisted of six themed activities, including photo exhibitions, painting and calligraphy exhibitions, and intangible cultural heritage shows, all of which are meant to highlight the city's allure and profound cultural background. It will also give visitors an opportunity to experience the many intangible cultural heritage items and tourist attractions of Xiamen.
