Twenty-seven entrepreneurs from Xiamen, East China's Fujian province made the 2019 Hurun China Rich List published on Oct 10.

The list, entering its 21st year, set the minimum qualifying net worth at 2 billion yuan ($290 million), of which the deadline of the application was Aug 15. Jack Ma, or Ma Yun, founder of Alibaba Group, ranked as China's richest man for the third time with a wealth of 275 billion yuan.

There were 27 entrepreneurs from Xiamen on the list, ranking 13th in the country and first in Fujian province. Ding Shizhong, chairman of Anta Group, ranked first in Xiamen with a fortune of 35 billion yuan. Xu Shihui, founder and chairman of Dali Group, was the richest man in Fujian with a net worth of 60 billion yuan.

The list showed that most of the richest individuals are from emerging industries, such as internet and technology, medical treatment, and electronic data, accounting for nearly 50 percent of Xiamen's total number.
