The China Xiamen International Tea Industry Fair 2019 kicked off in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province on Oct 10 and will last for four days until Oct 14.
The fair covers 75,000 square meters and includes 3,800 exhibition booths. It is being attended by over 1,500 well-known tea enterprises from home and abroad, including companies from Germany, Japan, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and India.

First held in 2010, the fair has grown into an international trading platform for tea imports and exports. It has been held twice a year, in spring and autumn, since 2018 and has helped to promote the development of China's tea industry and tea culture, according to an undertaker at the fair.
The international port city of Xiamen is regarded as a major collection and distribution center for tea trade. This year's event set up five exhibition areas for branded tea enterprises, tea sets, tea packaging, Taiwan business and the international tea industry.
The 6,000-sq-m Taiwan exhibition area highlighted exquisite teas and tea sets from about 150 Taiwan exhibitors. The fair has provided a chance to deepen cross-Straits exchange in the tea industry and has helped Taiwan tea enterprises to explore the global market.
