Times Higher Education released the 2020 World University Rankings recently, with 125 Chinese universities on the list.

Seven universities from the Chinese mainland made the top 200, the same number as last year -- Tsinghua University, Peking University, University of Science and Technology of China, Zhejiang University, Fudan University, Nanjing University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Three universities in Fujian province were among the top 100 Chinese mainland universities. They are Xiamen University, Fuzhou University and Huaqiao University, ranking 18th, 43rd and 71st.
