A report on innovative green development in China was published in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province, on Sept 10.

Eight categories – city, enterprise, energy, science and technology, service, health, architecture, and ecological restoration – were used to demonstrate China's overall strength in green development.

Lan Hong, a professor at Renmin University, said leading cities in green development, including Xiamen, should help pave the way for other cities by sharing their experiences.

Xiamen-based Topunive Technology Co, a high-tech enterprise specializing in solar energy applications, was also cited for its strong work in green development.
