Thanks to the joint efforts of the Xiamen Torch High-Tech Zone management committee and Xiamen's Huli district government, a Singapore science and technology park will be built in the zone. The signing ceremony was held on Sept 5, local media reported

The sci-tech park will establish a high-tech innovation resource channel connecting China and Singapore and attract investment from Singapore's high-tech, high-growth and high-value-added enterprises.

According to the Xiamen Torch High-Tech Zone management committee, the cooperation between Xiamen and Singapore will help Xiamen's enterprises to expand their market into the Asia-Pacific region.

To date, two projects have been signed into effect in the sci-tech park -- JCS Biotech and MEMSing, both of which are high-tech enterprises in Singapore.
