Xiamen gets set to host 2019 CIFIT on Sunday

Anticipation and excitement is building as the truly global event that is the 2019 China International Fair for Investment and Trade gets set to take place in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province, on Sept 8-11, according to its organizers.
They said it will welcome more than 100,000 businesspeople and over 3,000 companies from 120 countries and regions streaming in to attend the annual investment fair.
The event this year will shine the spotlight on the Silk Road, with pavilions being set up to explore investment, industrial investment promotion and trade between countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative.
More than 20 authoritative reports by international economic organizations, national business associations, renowned research institutes and media agencies will also be released during the upcoming event.
They include the World Investment Report 2019 (Chinese version) to be issued by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.
The event will also set up a venue in the Xiamen district of Huli to host the 2019 China (Xiamen) International Tea Industry Investment and Trade Expo on Sept 6-10.
This affair alone will boast 550 individual stands and cover 12,000 square meters of tea exhibition area for traders from Henan, Fujian, Guizhou Yunnan, Taiwan, South Korea and Vietnam.
Last year's CIFIT was attended by more than 120,000 representatives from 1,005 industrial and commercial associations as well as nearly 5,000 companies representing 128 countries and regions.
Organizers said the event was extraordinarily successful, facilitating the signing of 1,982 investment projects worth 527.5 billion yuan ($78.59 billion).
