Xiamen in East China's Fujian province is optimizing direct garbage transport to improve the cleanliness and livability of the city, local media reported.
According to the deployment of Xiamen's Party committee and government, the city has been continually improving direct garbage transport coverage, striving to achieve 60 percent direct transport rate in 2019 and full coverage in 2020.
Direct garbage transport can effectively reduce secondary pollution and mixed loading in the process of garbage transport.
According to recent data, Xiamen's six districts have more than 180 direct garbage transport routes at present, and nearly 1,000 vehicles have been put into operation.
