With its brand awareness spreading ever-further globally, the China International Fair for Investment and Trade, or CIFIT, is now considered as a weather vane of industry development, according to its organizers.

In addition, the establishment by the fair of its accolades Guest Country of Honor and Guest Province of Honor has attracted extensive attention from domestic and international merchants.

This year's CIFIT will continue to play its role as a two-way investment promotion platform, focusing on investment cooperation between countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Serbia, an important country involved in the BRI, is this year's Guest Country of Honor.

Focusing on Serbia's economic characteristics, industrial conditions and resource advantages, the organizing committee of CIFIT has tailored a series of exhibitions, negotiations and other activities to provide a broader platform for the country.

Over the years, the organizing committee has promoted Malaysia, Bahrain, Italy, Georgia and other representative BRI countries to become the Guest Country of Honor.

This year's Guest Province of Honor Shanxi attaches great importance to CIFIT and has applied to be the Guest Province of Honor the following year.

In order to highlight the important role of Guest Province of Honor, the organizing committee will make full use of CIFIT's platform functions to help Shanxi attract investment.

According to the organizers, the exhibition area for Shanxi will exceed 1,000 square meters, and an array of supporting activities will be held during the event, including an opening ceremony for the Shanxi pavilion, business-matchmaking conferences and a briefing on Shanxi's investment environment.
