Three companies from Xiamen in East China's Fujian province made the list of the 2019 top 500 Chinese companies in terms of annual operating revenue, according to the latest list published by the China Association of Enterprises in Shandong province on Sept 1.

The three companies are Xiamen C&D Corp, Xiamen ITG Holding Group Co Ltd, and Xiamen Xiangyu Group, ranking 71st, 77th and 84th respectively, all several places higher than last year.

The respective annual operating revenues of the three companies were 282.62 billion yuan ($39.36 billion), 274.1 billion yuan and 241.46 billion yuan.

According to the China Association of Enterprises, a minimum annual operation revenue of 32.33 billion yuan is required for the 2019 top 500 Chinese companies list, 1.64 billion yuan higher than the 2018 list. One-hundred-ninety-four companies earned an operating revenue higher than 100 billion yuan

The top 500 enterprises saw profits totaling 4.49 trillion yuan in 2019, up 20.7 percent from last year.

China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec), China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and the State Grid Corporation of China occupied the top three spots on the list.
