The 12th Cross-Straits (Xiamen) Cultural Industries Fair is scheduled to run Nov 1-4 in Xiamen, eastern Fujian province, local media reported.

This year's total exhibition area will reach 75,000 square meters, with about 3,500 standard booths. It is estimated that more than 1,000 exhibitors from both sides of the Taiwan Straits will attend the fair.

According to the organizers, Taiwan enterprises will take nearly one-third of the booths. And, for the first time, a 6,500-sq-m area will be set up for Taiwan boutiques.

Meanwhile, the fair will embrace the film and television industry with a special exhibition area featuring the Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival.
