Three new national-level activities will be involved in the 2019 China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), which will take place in Xiamen, in eastern Fujian province, on Sept 8-11, the CIFIT organizing committee announced on Aug 24.

The organizers said the activities include a conference on industrial internet innovation and development organized by the China Institute of Communications, as well as a conference on green innovation and development organized by the China Council for International Investment Promotion.

They added that there will also be a trade fair organized by the All China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives, for distinctive agricultural products from countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

According to the CIFIT organizing committee, more than 100,000 merchants and some 3,000 enterprises from 120 countries and regions are expected to attend this year's event.

Among them, more than 100 are multinationals and Fortune 500 companies, including Coca-Cola, Siemens, DuPont, Schneider Electric, Nu Skin and Louis Dreyfus.

In addition, China Railway Group, China State Construction, Huawei, Alibaba and other large-scale central State-owned enterprises and well-known private enterprises have confirmed their attendance.
