The Xiamen International Yacht Club -- a complex of low-density businesses focusing on the yachting industry -- will start operations in Xiamen's Wuyuan Bay, Fujian province, in the near future, according to local media reports.

The nautical business cluster, with a total construction area of nearly 250,000 square meters, is being developed and operated by Xiamen Road & Bridge Construction Group. The company has also brought in real estate services provider CBRE to provide comprehensive, systematic and forward-looking management and services guidance.

According to an executive at Xiamen Road & Bridge Construction, the sport and pastime of yachting has become big business and the industry is a new growth point that is powering Xiamen's high-quality development.

The business complex will provide a comprehensive business and services platform for Xiamen's yachting industry to attract talent, capital, technology and services.
