A symposium to explore investment in Hong Kong is set to take place in Xiamen, eastern Fujian province, on Sept 8.

The symposium will invite representatives from companies in Hong Kong to introduce the investment environment in the city and share their experience in expanding the international market with the help of Hong Kong.

The activity is co-sponsored by Invest Hong Kong, the Commercial Office of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in HK SAR, and the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Guangdong.

Hong Kong has been rated the freest economy in the world for 24 consecutive years, with its great business environment and unique location in the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative allowing companies from the Chinese mainland to raise capital and buy up companies while enjoying high quality accounting, tax and legal services.

The symposium will be part of the upcoming China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), which takes place in Xiamen each September.

The fair focuses on investment negotiation and investment policy promotion on a national and international scale, promoting the development of national and regional economies in China, as well as economic and trade exchange across the Taiwan Straits.
