A drama season will run from mid-August to mid-October in Xiamen, Fujian province to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the liberation of Xiamen. 

Twenty-six performances spanning traditional operas, musicals, dance, and symphonic music will be staged, reflecting the pioneering and hardworking spirit of Xiamen people, as well as characteristics of Minnan culture. 

To better serve local residents, most performances will be arranged on weekends for people to enjoy the shows by Xiamen professional art troupes.
