The 2019 China International Industrial Internet Innovative Development Conference is set to take place on Sept 7-11 in Xiamen, eastern Fujian province, as part of the upcoming China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT).

The event consists of a themed forum, a forum on the international industrial internet, a launch ceremony for the “Belt and Road” Communication Industry Alliance and a raft of sub-forums.

In addition, the conference will also set up a 5,000 square meter exhibition area to showcase innovative technologies and their applications to the industrial internet and the three main mobile telecom operators in China -- China Unicom, China Telecom, and China Mobile -- will be invited.

Experts said that as a result of the integration of new-generation information technology and the manufacturing industry, the industrial internet is changing the ways of production, management and services in traditional industries and is growing into an important support for a new round of the industrial revolution.

Organizers said that to host the conference in Xiamen would help the city in its transition as a new hub of the industrial internet and improve its competitiveness in an era of fast-paced development。

The 2019 China International Industrial Internet Innovative Development Conference is organized by the Xiamen Municipal Government, the International Economic and Technological Cooperation Center of China's Ministry of Industry and Information, the China Institute of Communications, and three other institutions.
