An e-sports team from Xiamen in East China's Fujian province came first at a national gaming champion award in Peace Elite, an e-sports event July 14, local media reported.
The XQF team excelled in the three-day competition, showing their eye-catching playing power in the game's 12 points races. Finally, they achieved a breakout lead among 25 top domestic teams to claim the title.
In addition, Zhu Bocheng, a XQF team member, ranked in the knockout list with 34 takedowns.
It was a close contest as the team was only 12th going in the last points race. Liu Xin, another team member, recalled the tense period after XQF had finished their game and had to watch the team ranked second play out their game. All four XQF members fixed their eyes on the increasingly tense e-sports game.
After the win, Liu said that it was XQF's flexible tactical location and well-balanced capacity for leveling that guaranteed their championship success.
XQF tutor Li Yang said that all the detailed preparation made a great contribution to the final triumph. A well-thought-out plan emboldened the team to take risks in the competition.
Peace Elite is a competitive mobile game built by Tencent Inc, one of China's largest internet integrated service providers. This year's event brought together 25 top domestic e-sports teams with four persons per group.
