Taiwan youth join in workshop in Xiamen to edge their career capacity

An entrepreneur's training workshop sponsored by Peking University especially for young talents from Taiwan launched in Xiamen, Fujian province, July 18, local media reported.

A group of 50 youngsters from both sides of the Straits participated in the workshop. According to Xiamen Daily, roughly 160 youngsters from Taiwan sighed up for it, only 48 out of whom had been shortlisted as participants.

Most of the youngsters are mature professionals, 92 percent of whom have bachelor degrees or above.

The four-day non-profit event boasts an advanced teaching mode, aiming at comprehensively emboldening the young entrepreneurs from Taiwan to climb their career ladder and make a good living in Xiamen.

A newly graduated young entrepreneur from Taiwan, said he feels comfortable with the lifestyle in Xiamen as it resembles life in Taiwan.

He added that the workshop courses, such as interview coaching, were very useful.
