Xiamen promotes Jimei's film, TV industry in Beijing

A promotional event for the film and television industry of Jimei district in Xiamen, in eastern Fujian province, was held in Beijing recently. The event attracted 185 domestic film and television companies and production houses.
During the event, six enterprises, including Beijing Jingxi Culture and Tourism Co Ltd, signed cooperation agreements with Jimei district. The total contract amount reached 6.61 billion yuan ($959.94 million), according to officials.
Jimei has been attaching great importance to the development of its film and television industry in recent years and has issued many preferential policies to support the sector.
Jimei is now a gathering area for film and television industry in Xiamen and even the whole province. Not only have many film and television works been shot and produced in Jimei, but also more and more related projects have launched there.
As early as 2015, Jimei established Jimeiji Film and Television Culture and Innovation Park, which provides all-round services, such as investment, copyright trading, and technical support, for film and television businesses.
More than 360 film and television companies have settled in the park so far, and total revenue of the park hit 690 million yuan in 2018.
