The Global Investors Alliance Conference is set to take place in Xiamen, Fujian province, in September as an important part of the upcoming 2019 China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT).
Sponsored by the China Society for World Trade Organization Studies (CWTO) and CIFIT's organizing committee, the conference will promote favorable investment policies and the environment of various cities, giving prominence to the high-quality resources of worldwide investors.
The conference is expected to serve as a cooperation platform for CIFIT's Global Investors Alliance and to grow into a club for global investors, according to a spokesman for the sponsors.
Directors of renowned companies, investment institutions, business associations and international economic organizations will be invited to share their ideas on how to promote technological innovation by advancing industrial investment and reconstructing global value chains.
In addition, forums on the development of global photo-shooting tours and digital city construction in Belt and Road countries will be held on the sidelines of the conference.
CIFIT is held in Xiamen every September. The fair focuses on investment negotiation and investment policy promotion on a national and international scale, promoting the development of national and regional economies in China as well as economic and trade exchanges across the Taiwan Strait.
In 2018, the fair facilitated the signing of 1,982 investment projects worth 527.5 billion yuan ($78.59 billion) and drew the attendance of more than 120,000 representatives from 1,005 industrial and commercial associations. Nearly 5,000 companies representing 128 countries and regions also attended.
