The 3rd Fin Tech and Quantitative Finance Forum of Xiamen University (XMU) was held July 7, local media reported.

The forum gathered together hundreds of representatives of financial organizations, including the People's Bank of China, local governments and Chinese universities and colleges.

The participants discussed and exchanged ideas on topics such as intelligent finance, block chain technology and application, and quantitative finance.

Jiang Jun, the vice-president of CCB Fintech Co, shared examples of classic cases to explain how financial technology has an impact on traditional financial business.

Jiang stressed the application of technology should by no means be superficial. Instead, we should have a deep understanding of the nature of technology and integrate it with financial spectacles.
