An aircraft – the E195-E2 made by Brazil's aircraft manufacturer Embraer -- arrived at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport in Fujian province on July 9 after a two-day flight from Brazil via Spain, Jordan, Egypt and India.

Xiamen is the first stop in the Asian Pacific region of the plane's world tour. A company spokesman said the plane would fly to several other cities in Asia Pacific region from July to August.

"We attach great importance to the Xiamen market," the spokesman said.

"Xiamen's aviation industry is growing rapidly, and we will start from here to further develop the Chinese market."

Embraer is a Brazilian aerospace conglomerate that produces commercial, military, executive and agricultural aircraft and provides aeronautical services.

The E195-E2 is the largest aircraft ever built by Embraer.

Statistics show that, to date, eight Chinese and Mongolian airlines have a total of 105 Embraer commercial aircrafts, laying a solid foundation for the E2 series to be put into operation in the Asia Pacific market.
