An art exhibition related to the art of Wang Chengyi, a renowned oil painter in China, was launched in Xiamen, Fujian province, July 7, local media reported.

The exhibition is showcasing an oil painting called Xin (a letter), and related items such as preliminary sketches, resources and all kinds of literature.

The oil painting Xin, Wang's graduation work from the training class of the China Central Academy of Fine Arts, depicted an authentic scene of China's first land reclamation team pioneering an enterprise in an uncultivated area in North China in 1950s.

The artwork was included in national Chinese language primary school textbooks in 2003 and was part of exhibition in Paris in 2017 .

The exhibition in Xiamen is expected to last until Aug 11 and is free to the public.
