Jimei Industrial College took runner-up position in national competition

Jimei Industrial College in Xiamen, Fujian province, ranked second on the medal list in the 2019 National Vocational Students Skills Competition, according to a list released by the Ministry of Education of China (MOE) July 3.

According to MOE, 962 vocational colleges are on the list. The event located its principal area in Tianjin from May 7 to June 16 and attracted 17,450 participants from 37 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities) to engage in 87 categories.

Jimei Industrial College, one of the largest secondary vocational colleges in Fujian province, has increased its efforts to improve education by encouraging the students to participate in a range of competitions.

The awards for secondary vocational school students are equivalent in weight to high gaokao (the national college entrance exam) scores in China.
