The 16th French film exhibition (Xiamen station) opened in eastern Fujian's Xiamen June 29. Six French films will be screening in the city until July 8.

The films on show are some of the best of last year's French films, including Le Grand Bain (Sink or Swim) which was nominated in nine categories, including best picture, and won best supporting actor at the 2019 Cesar Film Awards.

Xiamen will take the opportunity of the exhibition to provide locals with diverse cultural experiences and enhance cultural exchanges with other countries, according to officials from the city's culture and tourism bureau.
