Xiamen hosts art exhibition to greet 70th anniversary of PRC founding

An exhibition of painting and calligraphy works kicked off in Xiamen, southeast Fujian province, on June 15 in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China.

The exhibition features a total of 210 artworks, including Chinese brush drawings, oil paintings, lacquer paintings and calligraphy works, from Siming district, Zhaoan county and Fuqing county-level city.

Directed by Fujian Artists Association, the exhibition displays a collection of classic artworks by artists of all ages, showcasing the amazing cultural and artistic development in China since 1949 and the founding of a New China.

The exhibition is set to be held in Zhaoan from June 29 to July 7 and Fuqing from July 13 to 21.
