A free three-day bilingual football training camp for children of migrant workers wrapped up in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province on June 9, local media reported.

A group of 132 kids participated in the camp sponsored by Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Co, which taught them how to play football and communicate with their expatriate coaches in English.

Sheng Hanxi, a third-grade student from Shuguang Primary School, said that the camp was different from what he expected: In addition to playing football, physical training and skill practice with different training props were also on the daily agenda.

The young boy, also a football lover, expressed hopes to participate in training like this every day.

Both expatriate coaches at the training camp used to be professional players.

Emanuel Bale from Argentina said that he and Nicolo Bandiera from Italy taught basic skills to their students; meanwhile, the kids were also able to enrich their football-related English vocabulary and practice oral English during the training.

According to Taikoo, they will launch more sports activities during future vacations to offer the children who migrated to cities with their parents more opportunities to learn and exercise in a bilingual environment.
