The brand new Howard Johnson Jimei Lake Plaza started trial operations on June 1. It is located in Xiamen's Jimei district, Fujian province.

The hotel is close to Xinglin Bay business center, one of the three CBDs in Xiamen, and close to many cultural and educational attractions.

The hotel is composed of an 18-story main building and two 5-story sub-buildings. As the first Howard Johnson brand hotel in Xiamen, it operates with respect for the local culture. The exteriors of the buildings combine Western style with Minnan (southern Fujian) style.

There are 485 luxurious rooms and suites measuring at least 41 square meters. The decoration of the rooms also integrates Chinese elements. About 75 percent of the rooms have views of Jimei Lake.

The 240-seat cafe in the hotel provides global cuisines as well as local delicacies. There is also a fitness center with a swimming pool.
