Xiamen furthers co-op with Japan in manufacturing industry

A business delegation from Xiamen, East China's Fujian province, visited Japan from May 25 to 29 to seek further cooperation in the manufacturing industry, local media reported.
The delegation, led by Hu Changsheng, Party secretary of Xiamen, launched a promotional meeting at a Sino-Japan investment promotion agency.
Hu invited more local manufacturing enterprises to invest in Xiamen.
He said that Japanese companies enjoy promising prospects in the city as they have high quality products and advanced technologies that would benefit from China's broad market and Xiamen's superior business environment.
New-generation electronic information, new materials and biological medicine industries are the focuses of Xiamen's future industrial development, according to Hu.
He hopes Japanese companies will grab the opportunity to seek further development in Xiamen and promised to create the best business environment and services for them.
During their stay in Japan, Hu also had meetings with the directors of Panasonic Corp, Toyota Tsusho Corp, Mizuho Bank and All Nippon Airways Co, and visited other companies, including Sumitomo Electric Industries Ltd, Mitsubishi Materials Corp and SK Electronic Corp.
