To promote culture and tourism and stimulate market vitality, Xiamen's Huli district has planned to organize 25 different activities this year, according to a press conference held by the district's government on May 29.

The activities include traditional cultural festivals, culture and art exhibitions, and sports events. The 11 activities that have been held so far have all yielded fruitful results.

An exhibition featuring Red Dot Design Award winners, held in the first quarter of this year in Huli district, attracted 150,000 people and reinvigorated the district's design industry.

A number of major film and television projects were launched in April during the Xiamen International Film and Television Culture Industry Forum, the first supporting activity of the 28th Golden Rooster Film Festival, which will take place in Xiamen later this year.

The remaining 14 activities, such as an aerospace culture themed exhibition, a sailing competition and a piano art festival, will be held from June to December this year.
