Two enterprises in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province, made the list of "little giant" companies released by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on May 23.
"Little giant" enterprises, which are defined as strong performers in specialized, refined, and unique micro and small businesses, feature considerable economic benefits, with operation revenue of 100 million ($14.48 million) to 400 million yuan in previous year.
In addition, the revenue or retained profits of these enterprises' main business should record more than 10 percent of the average growth rate and their debt-to-asset ratio should be no higher than 70 percent within the last two years.
Founded in 2011, Xiamen Led Board Elevtron-Tech Co is the first professional manufacturer of metal core printed circuit boards in Fujian province. It has an annual production capacity of more than 1.2 million square meters.
Jinda Nano Tech Co is a hi-tech business integrating the research, development, production, and marketing of nano-antibacterial products and is also one of the few companies in China dedicated to developing and producing nano silver inorganic antibacterial materials.
Xiamen has identified 289 municipal-level specialized, refined, and unique micro and small businesses since 2014, which mainly involve new-generation information technology, electronics, equipment manufacturing, new materials, and biology.
Local government will subsidize each of these identified companies with no more than 500,000 yuan and award 1 million yuan to "little giant" companies identified by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
